Responsibilities

  • Worked in Flash edit calculator.

  • Created System Design Documents and Google Spread Sheets for analyzing, playtesting objectives and testing difficulty progression.

  • Designed new objectives and scenarios for Cricket T20 Fever 3D.

  • Analyzed old and existing user data and proposed design tweaks.

  • Balanced existing system parameters for scenarios and game objectives.

  • Conducted Play-Test Sessions for over 100 participants over the course of 3 days

  • Participated and contributed during brainstorming sessions with the design team for upcoming IP.

Experience

Worked as a Game System Designer (Intern) on a Faceboook game called Cricket Fever T20 3D, which was also later ported to Android and iOS.

As an intern, I was assigned to craft new objectives (Short and Long Term), seasons and tournaments which reflected within the game as live updates. I was fortunate enough to have the guidance of the Sr and Lead designers who helped me define the difficulty curve without affecting player experience.

At Disney, it was the first time I was getting my hands dirty with analytics and reading data. First, I did not know what I was looking at as I was not familiar with the terms such as DAU, ARPDAU and ARPPU. With the expert guidance of the experienced designers, I was soon able to analyze data along with them to suggest improvements.

I learnt and achieved a lot during my internship at Disney India.

Achievements​

  • Over 5 long term and 20 short term objectives made it in to the game.

  • 5 tournaments designed made it into the game.

  • The game had over 10 Million downloads and ranked in the Top 20 Sports Games.

  • Successfully pitched a game concept 'Pen Fight' to the leads and producers as a part of my internship checkout presentation.
